Essential Oils – is Young Living worth it?

Why Young Living? Is this some type of scam online marketing business? How truly pure are these products? These are just some of the many questions people may have when looking into Essential Oils and a company like Young Living, one of the largest Essential Oil companies in the world. Both my husband and I had these questions when we were first introduced to Young Living oils. We knew essential oils existed, but had no idea where they truly came from, how they were created, let alone what they can be used for besides massages. As we did our research, we learned the story behind Young Living, their processes, and what makes them different. And here we hope to enlighten you with what makes Young Living unique and why we love their oils and products so much!

So Why Young Living?

Here’s a ten second download on the Young Living backstory. The company was founded in 1993 by Donald Gary Young who rediscovered the power of essential oils and their health benefits. He traveled the world learning everything possible about the oils and plants they are derived from. He discovered the most effective and beneficial oils have to be of the highest quality and potency. With that discovery he established his first Lavender farm in Idaho and eventually multiple farms all over the world to bring us the purest essential oils. Gary Young also helped pioneer the proper distillation process to achieve the high quality oils. These plants are then processed in their own facilities to create the essential oil products we use everyday.

What are Essential Oils used for?

Some of the most common uses of Essential Oils are for diffusing (aromatherapy) and massage therapy (topically). Diffusing specific oils or a blend of oils is a great alternative to using a candle or other air fresheners that are most likely full of synthetic chemicals that are released when burned. Diffusing will freshen up a room or even induce a specific mood. If diffusing or massages aren’t your thing, don’t worry, there are plenty more uses. These oils can be integrated in everyday products that you use.
